ドイツ旅行記　Travelogue to Germany

ベルリンには、フリードリッヒ大王が作らせた伝統のStaatsoperという国立歌劇場があるが、訪れた際には前年ながら大規模な改修工事中だった。 そこで、ドイツ・ベルリン・オペラの方に行くことにした。 場所はベルリンの中心部からは少し離れており、Uバーンで西に向かい、Deutsche Operという駅で降りると、すぐ目の前にオペラハウスが建っている。 Berlin is home to the Staatsoper, the traditional opera house created by King Friedrich the Great, which was undergoing major renovations the previous year. So I decided to go to the German Berlin Opera. The location is a bit far from the center of Berlin, head west on the U-Bahn and get off at the Deutsche Oper station, where you will find the opera house right in front of you. このオペラハウスは、1912年に作られて、第二次世界大戦時の戦火の中で焼け落ち、1961年に現在のモダンな建物に再建された。 ベルリンが東西に分かれた後は、このオペラハウスは西側の唯一のオペラハウスとなり、多くの西ベルリンのオペラファンに愛されてきた。 The opera house was built in 1912, burned down in the war of World War II, and rebuilt in 1961 into a modern building. バウハウスの1階は、入場チケットを買うエントランスがあり、その背後には、カフェやショップが併設されていた。 地下には、企画展の展示スペースがあり、ちょうど、ハンネス・マイヤーについての展示が行われていた。 On the first floor of the Bauhaus there was an entrance to buy admission tickets, and behind it were cafes and shops.
